hey people!!!

haha...wow...i haven't written here for like...ages and ages...but i suppose if u've been reading my other blogs, you'd know what i've learned so far...but anyway, just to share a few things...

1) God is doing a new thing. Isaiah 43: 18-19...check it out man...i believe this is God's promise for 2006, that so many new things are going to spring up, and what we never knew could take place will take place for the first time. We're gonna be history makers! woohoo!...what we never knew we could do, God will accomplish through us. what we never knew was there will be revealed. there will be a harvest of souls greater than before, and a new excitement will course through Christians around the world as they hear the stories of their fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ in different parts of the world. I believe that this year will usher in the blessings and prosperity that God has prepared for us, but all the more we have to pray, because challenges are going to come in greater proportion and number than ever before. There will be calamities, there will be testing of faith, there will be intellectual arguments coming against Christians. God will use this year to sharpen character and develop boldness in His children...
God's really stepping things up...not long more til His GReat Coming...I CAN'T WAIT!!

2)God's provision and His promises...

1 corinthians 15:36> ..What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed..

God's promises are yes and amen. sometimes we believe so hard for something, and God doesn't give it. There are many instances in our lives when God's promises seem dead and gone, but read the verse above. No seed grows into what it is supposed to be until it DIES. sometimes, a death of a vision is the key to unlocking that vision and bringing it to pass.

Sometimes my dreams seem dead and impossible, but i don't place my hopes in my dreams...i place my hopes in the One Who gives them. Dreams do die. that's inevitable. i've seen many cases where people dreamed big dreams but ended up saying that those dreams are just impossible. yes, perhaps they are, but not with God. I place my trust in the One who does not break His promises. He is the One who will see those dreams come to pass if i press on in Him.

"Dear Lord, You've given me a hint of my destiny, but You never said how You were going to take me there...so i trust in You. You're never in a hurry...if You have to lead me in the most roundabout way to get me to my destiny, in order to build up my character and faith, then let it be so. Your will and purpose be done in my life...amen."

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"Plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.

Bless you all and have an awesome holiday...:) Press on in the reading of His word!!

devotions or cell, anyone?

hey one and all, greetings to you, from afar! It's joanne here, being totally nonsensy as usual and talking lots of rubbish before getting to the point.

Anyway, ignore that useless sentence. HELLO to everyone!
As the calendar tells me, it is already the 3rd of January, 2006. This is a cause for worry. But then again, the Bible tells me not to worry, so I won't be worrying. yayy!

Picking up on what Sarah earlier suggested, I would like to propose the IDEA of having cell/devotions? soon? anytime soon?

Please reply if you feel like supporting this idea. Thankyouverymuch! (:

Hey Beautiful People!!

I am four teeth shy of the Amelea of Yesterday and yet, hopefully, so MUCH more in other more significant aspects... me and Joanne had a really Scary encounter yesterday... yesterday, while sitting at the fountain in Heeren, this middle aged malay man plants himself and arms length away and points this really viscious finger somewhere in between my eyes... its happened just when i was trying to tell Jo about the good things that happened during my cell group this Sunday...
He kept on muttering these words that i COULDN'T understand. and i was SO frightened...jo'll attest to that... so many things were just RUSHING through my head...he kept on muttering...but i couldn't hear a word!!! A WORD... i think it was the angels of God somehow protecting my ears from whatever that man had to pronounce over my life... after a while he went away.

Me and jo ran over to spinelli's, i mean, CALMLY STROLLED, to spinelli's for a smoothie and then, halfway through our smoothie, i notice he's leaning on the door frame about 1.5 m away from me.. i think... my heart gave this SQUEEZE.

and i started praying in tongues... i prayed and prayed oh sheesh. joanne over her hot chocolate and me over my mango smoothie... and after a while, he went away...
so let this be a testimony to the power of tongues.

the speech of angels is powerful when human words are too clumsy and take too long to form in a 'scary' situation...

Hallelujah, AMEN!!
